NSF and USDA join DOE in research security training requirements

As of October 10, 2025, NSF and the USDA will join DOE in requiring the mandatory research security training be completed before a proposal submission can occur. The CU proposal analyst must certify that all individuals identified as senior/key personnel have completed the requisite research security training. Acceptable training for this can be the 1-hour CU course , or the 4-hour NSF training module.
