Creating a Filter
Navigate to the All-Employee List:
From the InsideCIRES home page, click on Personnel Management Tool (PMT) > Open PMT. Then click on the All-Employee List tile.

2. Edit the filters at the top of the page as you would like. In the example below, we will find everyone who meets the following criteria:
- CIRES Status = Active
- Works in one of the four NOAA labs--CSL, GML, GSL, and PSL.
First, we set the CiresStatus to “A”:

Next, we set the Units to CSL, GML, GSL, and PSL:

Notice that at this point, no one is showing up. This is because the AND/OR toggle is filtering on AND, and the system is not finding anyone who is in all four labs. If you flip this to OR, you will see the list you want:

Saving a Filter
To save a set of filters, click on Save Current Filter Settings in the lower right of the Filters section:

This will bring up the Save Filter form. Enter a name for your filter, and review the filter logic. Enter any additional notes. When you're done, click Save.

The system will respond with a message that the filter has been created. Click Okay.

You should now see the filter listed in the Use Preset Filter Box. Note that if you modify filters from the version you saved, the Use Preset Filter Box value will revert to None, since it is not the same as the saved filter.
Editing an Existing Filter
To edit an existing filter, do the following:
- Select the filter in the Use Preset Filter dropdown. As an example, we will edit the existing NOAA Labs filter we just created.

2. Add any additional filters you would like. For this example, we will add a filter for the PRA Job Code, 1310.

You'll notice after selecting this job code that the Preset Filter reverts to None, since the filter configuration being displayed no longer matches the saved NOAA Labs filter configuration.
3. Click the green Save Current Filter Settings button in the lower right of the Filters panel.

4. In the pop-up window, select the Existing Filter radio button, and the filter name from the dropdown. In this case, we want to update the NOAA Labs filter. Review the filter logic, add any notes, and click Save.

Your filter settings are now updated.
