This letterhead should be used for official correspondence in your capacity as a CIRES employee, such as recommendation letters. It is also used by CIRES HR for offer letters and other job-related correspondence. It should not be used for personal correspondence.
This letterhead has CU Boulder and CIRES branding.
If you are a CIRES person embedded at NOAA and funded by our cooperative agreement and your correspondence is going to a non-NOAA local, national, or international colleague, use your discretion, considering the following: CIRES is the official name of our institute at CU Boulder, your employer; CIESRDS is the official name of our current cooperative agreement with NOAA.

CIESRDS letterhead
This letterhead should be used for official correspondence (recommendation letters, award nominations) in your capacity as a CIRES person funded by the CIESRDS cooperative agreement with NOAA. It should not be used for personal correspondence.
This letterhead has CU Boulder, CIRES, and CIESRDS branding. Use this letterhead if:
- You are a CIRES person embedded at NOAA who is funded by our cooperative agreement AND your letter is to a NOAA employee.
If you are a CIRES person embedded at NOAA and funded by our cooperative agreement and your correspondence is going to a non-NOAA local, national, or international colleague, use either this letterhead or the CIRES letterhead at your discretion, considering the following: CIRES is the official name of our institute at CU Boulder, your employer; CIESRDS is the official name of our current cooperative agreement with NOAA.
